A poet gets dejected with the materialistic society around him. The only person he gets some sympathy from is a washed out working girl who gives him shelter. Rejected by publishers, he gains fame when his death is reported by a newspaper.

The film follows a young scientist's murder, witnessed by Sujata, who becomes involved with Mahesh, a crime branch specialist working on the "Blue X" project. Their lives are threatened as they uncover the connection between the murder and the project.

Karan is a thief who is good at heart and tries to keep Rattan, a gangster, from causing trouble. Thereafter, his life changes when he meets his estranged family and falls in love with Madhu.
